Japanese filmmaker Naomi Kawase – who has already been named as the chair of the jury (read the news) tasked with singling out the best movies made by film-school students from among the 18 titles in the Cinéfondation Selection, and who will give out the Palme d'Or to one of the ten short films selected in the official competition – will be joined by fellow jury members Canadian actress Marie-José Croze, Romanian filmmaker Radu Muntean, his French counterpart Jean-Marie Larrieu, and Argentinian director and author Santiago Loza.
