Dejan Zečević's The Rift launches in Serbia and Slovenia

film profile], directed by Dejan Zečević and produced by Milan Todorović of Talking Wolf Productionsand Marko Jocić of Viktorija Film, was released in Serbia and Slovenia on 28 April, by Taramount Film and Karantanija Cinemas respectively.
The official synopsis for the film reads: "An American army satellite crash lands in Serbia and a team of US and Serbian agents are dispatched to retrieve the satellite’s flight data, examine the wreckage and secure the remains, but when they locate the crash site all is not as it seems."

film profile], with most of the dialogue in English, the film was clearly made with the international market in mind and will be sold at the Cannes Film Market by Jinga Films.
Talking Wolf's previous films, 2009's Zone of the Dead (aka Apocalypse of the Dead), also staring Foree, and 2014's Killer Mermaid with Franco Nero as a guest star, both directed by Todorovic, had theatrical and/or VoD distribution in the US, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and other markets. In early 2015, Killer Mermaid placed second among new horror films on US Netflix, and fourth among foreign films.
The Rift was co-written by Milan Konjević and Barry Keating, and co-produced by Slovenia's BBO Star and South Korea's Morein Group.
