Italian cinema operators have until October 31 to equip their theatres with the new automated box offices that will replace the traditional cinema ticket. In fact many exhibitors haven’t been able to get their hands on the new technology, which was initially due to have been installed by June 30, the deadline set by the Italian Finance Ministry. Up until now, 40 automation systems have been confirmed as being correctly up and running, with another 10 expected to be ready shortly.
