film profile], which is being directed once again by the Oscar-winning Gabriele Salvatores. The film revolves around the now 16-year-old invisible boy, Michele Silenzi (Ludovico Girardello), along with his twin sister Natasha (Galatea Bellugi), who he discovers exists at the end of the first chapter in the saga. The cast also features Ksenia Rappoport, Noa Zatta, Ivan Franek and Valeria Golino.

“We decided to carry on with the story not only because of the positive response and popularity of the first film among young audiences”, explains Gabriele Salvatores. “More than anything, we still loved our invisible boy, we wanted to keep following him in his adventures as a teenager who’s now 16. He’s grown up, and had to deal with the difficulties of being ‘special’ in normal everyday life”.

Written by Alessandro Fabbri, Ludovica Rampoldi and Stefano Sardo, the sequel – which doesn’t yet have a definitive title – is being produced by Indigo Film with RAI Cinema, in partnership with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission. Shooting will take place almost entirely in Trieste and will last for 12 weeks. The film is set to be released in 2017 and will be distributed by 01 Distribution.
