The San Sebastián Film Festival’s unwavering support for movies made in Latin America seems to bear more and finer fruit every year: five films that took part in the last edition of Films in Progress are competing this year in Horizontes Latinos, a section showcasing the best productions that Latin America has to offer. Of the 13 titles that will be duking it out for the Horizontes Award, worth €35,000 – a sum intended for the director and Spanish distributor – seven European co-productions will make their presence felt, including El Cristo ciego [+see also:

The list is rounded off by the Argentinian movie The Long Night of Francisco Sanctis by F Márquez Andrea Testa, Rara by Pepa San Martín and Viejo Calavera by Kiro Russo.
