Shorts at Arcipelago

Arcipelago, Rome’s celebrated short film festival opens its doors to the public today for the 11th consecutive year (check out the programme on Tamtamcinema). This year’s highlights include a number of films by Peter Mullan, winner of the Golden Lion at Venice 2002 for The Magdalene Sisters [+see also:

and the festival will open with a retrospective of Pappi Corsicato’s documentaries about art. A special highlight will be the screening of Marco Bellocchio’s Notes for a film about Uncle Vanja starring his son, Pier Giorgio.
