Sordi film found

by

The Bologna Film Archive has made a wonderful discovery: a print of one of Alberto Sordi's early films that was thought had been lost forever. Lo Scocciatore (The Pest) was made in 1953 by Alberto Bianchi and the print was recovered with help from Ripley’s Film.
First released as Via Padova 46 and subsequently re-issued as Lo Scocciatore as a direct result of Sordi’s landmark performance and stardom after making Federico Fellini’s The White Sheik and I Vitelloni, Lo Scocciatore was restored to its original glory and will be screened in Bologna's Cinema Ritrovato review that begins on Saturday 28 June.
