Throughout November, a large number of Swiss films will be travelling to different festivals in Europe and beyond. First up is DOK Leipzig, which got underway with the multi-award-winning My Life as a Courgette [+see also:

, the powerful film by documentary maker Heidi Specogna in the International Competition. Another female director there to support her is Dominique Margot, who will be presenting her film Looking Like My Mother [+see also:

in the Next Masters section. The International Programme will instead host the international premiere of The Lives of Mecca, a medium-length film by young director Stefano Etter, and also in the same section is medium-length film Appunti del passaggio by Maria Iorio and Raphaël Cuomo, which had its premiere at Visions du réel in Nyon. Also sporting the colours of the Swiss flag is this year’s tribute, which the festival is dedicating to iconic Swiss director Peter Liechti.

Also being held in Germany is the Duisburger Filmwoche, a festival dedicated to German-language documentaries, which will this year be hosting two Swiss films: the premiere of The Field [+see also:
