), the screenplay tells the story of Corrado (Pierobon), a fifty-something policeman who is part of a task force whose mission it is to control migration flows and stop illegal immigrants before they get to the Schengen area. Every day his work becomes more and more complex, often taking him far away from his wife (Carnelutti) and daughter (Greta Galiè in her acting debut), who live in Padua. In Libya, where Corrado is sent for a delicate mission, he crosses paths in the migration centre in Zuaia with Swada (Yusra Warsama), a Somalian woman who, in the midst of a thousand and one problems, is trying to get to her husband, a political refugee living in Finland. Corrado finds himself at a dramatic crossroads: does he follow orders and do his job, or save Swada’s life? Try to change unacceptable imbalances or selfishly hold onto his own privileges?

L’ordine delle cose is being produced with Rai Cinema, with funding from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and support from the Rome Lazio Film Commission and Sicily Film Commission. Shooting is set to wrap in mid-April, after six weeks’ filming in total in Padua, Rome, Sicily and Tunisia.
