The winners of the seventh edition of the Doc/it Professional Award have been announced. At this year’s edition, organised in conjunction with the Roma Lazio Film Commission, awards were also handed out in specific categories to those professions that contribute the most to the creation of a documentary work: direction, writing, cinematography, editing, production, and one specifically related to a work from the Lazio region.

by Federica Di Giacomo won the Best Director–Best Documentary of the Year Award, worth €1,000, plus a prize provided by AAMOD (the Labour and Democratic Movement Audiovisual Archive), which gives the winner the right to use three minutes of archive material. by Simone Manetti, produced by Meproducodasolo, won the Best Writing Award, worth €500 and provided by the 100autori Association of Film and Television Authorship.

by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, produced by La Sarraz Pictures in conjunction with Rai Cinema, won the Best Director of Photography Award, worth €500, along with the prize provided by Margutta Digital International, which offers the winner the opportunity to have the colour correction done on their next film. by Paolo Civati, produced by Tangram Film, won the award for a work from the Lazio region, handed out by the Roma Lazio Film Commission and worth €500.

The winning titles and individuals were selected from among the 20 documentaries shortlisted from the 81 films eligible for the awards by a committee made up of people who were awarded or nominated at previous editions of the prizes.
