A former missionary in Africa, Giuseppe works in a small diocese in Roma, but asks the Bishop if he can be transferred to a small town in near Naples. He takes the place of the local parish priest, Don Antonio (Roberto Del Gaudio), a man of great charisma who is listened to and respected by all because he’s waging a war on the illegal burial of toxic waste. Don Antonio introduces Giuseppe to the harsh reality of the local area and once he’s left on his own, the priest sets about helping the community, but finds himself facing up to a truth that puts his back against the wall.

The cast also features Astrid Meloni, Paolo Sassanelli, Francesca Zazzera, and Giuseppe D'Ambrosio. The cinematography is by Gianluca Laudadio, editing by Luca Benedetti, and set design by Flaviano Barbarisi. The film is being produced by Luigi Musini and Olivia Musini with Cesare Apolito and Renato Ragosta per Cinemaundici, Lama Film and Ela Film with Rai Cinema. The film will be released in Italy by Warner Bros. Pictures, whilst international sales are being handled by Intramovies.
