Their contribution to films is huge and all too often, the costumes pass unnoticed: part of the scenery at best. What many people don’t realise however are the years of painstaking study and research that goes into creating the right clothes for a part. That is one reason why Raindance is organising a two-day masterclass in costume design on 9 and 10 August.
A number of highly experienced tutors who contributed to the costumes in films like Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Notting Hill, The World is Not Enough and Elizabeth, as well as many television productions will teach the basics. The course will be held at the GMAC in 34, Albion Street Glasgow and costs Euros281.00 (plus VAT), although students and the unemployed pay just Euros144.00
