The nominees for the Cartoon Movie Tributes unveiled

The nominations for the Cartoon Movie Tributes, which reward a leading individual or company that has had a dynamic and positive influence on the European animated feature-film industry, have been revealed. The names of the winners will be announced in Bordeaux at the 20th edition of Cartoon Movie (7-9 March), the co-production forum for European animated features.
Featuring in the Best European Director of the Year category are two French duos: Arthur de Pins and Alexis Ducord for Zombillenium [+see also:

film profile]. Also in the running are Poland’s Dorota Kobiela and the UK’s Hugh Welchman for Loving Vincent [+see also:

The nominees for the Cartoon Movie Tribute for European Producer of the Year are French outfits TAT Productions for The Jungle Bunch 3D [+see also:
film profile] and Superprod (partnered with Luxembourg’s Bidibul Productions) for White Fang [+see also:
film profile]. The other companies duking it out are Platige Image (Poland), Kanaki Films (Spain), Walking the Dog (Belgium), Wüste Film (Germany), Animationsfabrik (Germany) and Puppetworks (Hungary) for Another Day of Life by Raul de la Fuente and Damian Nenow. Lastly, Danish firm A. Film Production is also one of the hopefuls. Interestingly, five of its animated productions or co-productions were or will be released between October 2017 and December 2018: namely, The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear [+see also:
