Dubbers end strike
by Cineuropa
Italy’s dubbers are back at work. They brought their three-week strike to an end after negotiations between their representatives and those of film dubbing companies, distributors and TV programmers were re-opened. The key issue on the agenda is the renewal of the dubbers’ national contract. The strike threatened to delay the scheduled September-October releases of numerous foreign films. The dubbers will however abstain from overtime and may go back on strike should talks fail once again.
