Franka Potente takes a trip

- Creep, the film guaranteed to put you off taking the underground for the rest of your life, is about to go into production in Germany directed by Christopher Smith

Following her Hollywood parenthesis, Tom Tykwer’s former muse, Franka Potente, is back home in Germany and ready to begin work on Creep, a horror film produced by Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW). Potente plays a girl stuck on the underground for one terrifying night.
Directed by Christopher Smith, Creep is an Anglo-German co-production and one of the 31 projects sharing a €6.7m grant from the NRW. Other beneficiaries include Golem by Andreas Kleinert, and set in Antwerp’s Jewish community, and stars well-known TV actor, Götz Gorge, whom audiences will remember from Der Totmacher by Romuald Karmakar, first presented at the 1995 Venice Mostra.
