Trevignano, short film capital

From 24 to 28 July, Trevignano Romano will become the short film capital of Italy when it hosts the 9th edition of Citadella del Corto for fiction. Some 70 films, in film and on video, will compete for one of the numerous awards.
The “From Short to Long” section includes em>L'isola by Costanza Quatriglio, em>Poco più di un anno fa dby Marco Filiberti and Eccomi qua by Giacomo Ciarrapico. The programme includes a retrospective of Chilean shorts that will end with Roberto Rossellini’s 1971 video-interview with Salvador Allende. This year is the 30th anniversary of the Chilean president’s death.
“Bellissimi” includes two Italian titles: Rosso Fango and Racconto di Guerra, both of which were made with financial support from the Italian culture ministry and won David di Donatello awards. The section also includes Denmark’s This Charming Man by Martin Strang-Hansen, winner of this year’s short fictional film Oscar and Norway’s United We Stand, the winner of this year’s Clermont Ferrand.
