The story, written by the director with contributions from Agnès Caffin and Antoine Lacomblez, revolves around Gilbert and Simone, who are living out their rather turbulent retirement in a village in the South of France. The departure of her neighbour and lover Étienne, a lack of money, and above all her husband’s seemingly permanent rage, cause Simone to run away from home. Gilbert then wakes up and realises that he is willing to do anything to find his wife, his love.
Produced by Nicolas Blanc for Agat Films & Cie, Just The Three of Us is being co-produced by France 3 Cinéma. The feature, which has been pre-purchased by OCS, is also being backed by the SofiTVciné and Manon Soficas, as well as by the Occitanie region, where the entirety of the shoot will take place until 29 June. The French distribution will be handled by Apollo Films, while the international sales will be entrusted to Other Angle Pictures.
