Written by the director, the screenplay focuses on Hugo, Stan and Bérénice, three childhood friends who meet up in the mountain village where they grew up to bury Hugo's brother. The reunion marks the beginning of an adventure and a new life! It seems it’s not so easy to leave behind the place where everything started and where everything is still possible... 

Produced by Laurent Lavolé for Gloria Films and by Juliette Hayat for Les Films du printemps, Debout sur la montagne was co-produced by Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and received an advance on earnings from the  CNC and Sofica Cinecap. Filming will take place from 8 October to 23 November in Isère, in Normandy and in the region of Paris, with Sylvain Verdet (nominated for a Lumières Award in 2016 for The Wakhan Front [+see also:
