07/11/2018 - The 13th Segovia European Film Festival is giving pride of place to the Polish director, whose retrospective will be the centrepiece of a programme showcasing the best that Europe has to offer

Between 14 and 20 November, Segovia will once again play host to its European Film Festival – MUCES, which this year has a guest of honour: the great Agnieszka Holland. The director will visit the beautiful Castilian city in person, and the festival will pay tribute to her with a retrospective, thanks to which viewers will be able to enjoy titles such as The Secret Garden, Copying Beethoven and Spoor [+see also:

film profile], among others. The film output of guest country Romania will also have a prominent place in the programme, with 12 titles from the country. In total, the 20 or so sections of the 13th iteration of MUCES will offer 113 movies in 182 screenings: a vast array of films that exemplify the rich thematic and creative variety of the seventh art on the Continent.

Spanish filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta will be the man responsible for opening MUCES 2018 with his award-winning Between Two Waters [+see also:
