As usual, the categories announced beforehand were European Comedy and European Animated Film (read news), European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI (read news) and People’s Choice Award (read news).

The awards ceremony will take place for the very first time in Seville on 15 December. Before that, the Academy will present the winners of the technical European Film Awards (in the categories of cinematography, editing, production design, costume design, composer and sound design).
