Written by Robert Guédiguian and Serge Valletti, the film starts with Daniel’s release from prison (Meylan), who returns to Marseille where Mathilda (Demoustier), his daughter, has just given birth. Nicolas (Stévenin), her partner, a chauffeur, is exhausted while Mathilda is working as a saleswoman on a trial-run. One night, Nicolas is assaulted by taxi drivers determined to get rid of unfair competition...

Produced by the director and Marc Bordure for Ex Nihilo, Gloria Mundi was co-produced by France 3 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, filming will take place in Marseille until 17 January with Pierre Milon as the director of photography. Diaphana will drive French distribution while international sales will be handled by mk2 Films.
