, Dublin Oldschool) will be the protagonists of Dublin Murders, an upcoming psychological-thriller series, set during the financial boom years when the Irish economy was known as the “Celtic Tiger”. The couple will portray two detectives called Rob Reilly and Cassie Maddox, who will be tasked with investigating two mysterious murders. The victims are a talented young ballerina, who is found dead on an ancient stone altar, and a free-spirited woman, who is found stabbed in a roofless famine cottage. The story is based on Tana French’s bestselling books and has been adapted for the small screen by Sarah Phelps, who has penned a number of British TV series, such as Hooten & the Lady, And Then There Were None and Ordeal by Innocence.

, released in 2015 and set during the early years of the German occupation of France. In addition, Rebecca Gatward (Cold FeetShetland) and John Hayes (BancroftHome Fires) will direct a number of episodes. 

Sarah Phelps and Saul Dibb will serve as executive producers, whilst Kate Harwood and Noemi Spanos will produce for Euston Films (UK), Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer for Veritas Entertainment (UK), Elizabeth Kilgarriff for the BBC and Ed Guiney for Element Pictures (Ireland). The eight-episode TV series has been commissioned by BBC decision-makers Piers Wenger and Charlotte Moore, and has been backed by Northern Ireland Screen.

Dublin Murders is now being filmed in Belfast and Dublin, and is set to air on RTÉ and the BBC in 2019. Furthermore, US network Starz has recently announced the acquisition of its broadcasting rights. FremantleMedia International (UK) is currently in charge of its international distribution.
