Thirteen other prizes were also handed out at this second edition of the Emile Awards (founded by the European Animation Awards Association), including the Lotte Reiniger Award —a lifetime achievement award bestowed on the UK’s Clare Kitson, responsible for turning Channel 4 into a bastion of animation. Also worthy of note is the haul of prizes enjoyed by Danish television productions, particularly the series The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe. Finally, congratulations are also due to the short film Ce magnifique gâteau ! by Emma de Swaef and Marc James Roels
