Franco Lolli's Litigante enters post-production

Shot for 38 days in Bogota (from 19 October to 8 December), Franco Lolli's Litigante has entered post-production. This marks the Colombian filmmaker’s second feature film (who lives in Paris and graduated from La Fémis) after Gente de bien [+see also:
film profile], which was well-received at the International Film Critics’ Week at Cannes in 2014. His latest film stars Carolina Sanin, Leticia Gomez, Antonio Martinez and Alejandra Sarria.

film profile]) in partnership with Virginie Legeay (who previously collaborated with the director on Gente de bien), the screenplay is set in Bogota, Colombia. Silvia, a single mother and a lawyer, is implicated in a corruption scandal. But in addition to trouble at work, she is also facing a more crippling problem: her mother’s cancer has returned. While she is forced to face up to her mother’s inconceivable yet inescapable death, Silvia embarks on a love story, her first in many years...
Produced by Sylvie Pialat and Benoît Quainon for Les Films du Worso and by Christophe Barral and Toufik Ayadi for SRAB Films, Litigante was co-produced by the Colombian outfit Evidencia Films and has received support from TorinoFilmLab (via its co-production prize), Sofica Arte Cofinova, and the CNC’s world cinema fund, as well as FDC Proimagenes Colombia. French distribution will be handled by Ad Vitam, while international sales will be managed by Kinology.
