The 82-year-old actor’s wife, Erminia, and granddaughter, Federica, (Giovanna’s daughter) were on hand to receive Nino Manfredi’s Lifetime Achievement Bianchi Award in Venice yesterday evening, and they did it accompanied by one of the longest and most sincere rounds of applause ever. The occasion was the screening of Manfredi’s last film La Luz prodigiosa by Miguel Hermoso. Manfredi was unable to come to Venice because he is still in intensive care in a Roman hospital, following a cerebral haemorrhage in July.
