, which was directed by the latter) together with Balázs Krasznahorkai, the story revolves around Balint, a Hungarian obstetrician and soon-to-be father, who returns to his native village in north-eastern Romania to face the son he abandoned 17 years ago.

Produced by Gabor Szanto for Pipacs Films and by Péter Reich for AGA Media KftRavine has secured backing from the Hungarian National Film Fund, which will be in charge of its international sales. The shoot will continue for 30 days, until mid-July, in Romania and Hungary, with György Réder in charge of the cinematography. The Hungarian theatrical distribution will be handled by Mozinet.
