The story of this comedy, written by Pascal Rabaté, follows a clan living in the present day, which goes against the grain of civilisation and lives in the hidden underworld of a rubbish tip. This mini-tribe illegally recycles our waste in order to cobble together an astonishing, if rather haphazard, hamlet. And life there could be so sweet, were it not for the team of police officers hot on their heels…

Produced by Xavier Delmas for Loin derrière l'Oural (which has been a partner on all of the director’s features), The Voiceless has secured support from the Ile-de-France region (where the five-week shoot took place, with Noé Bach in charge of the cinematography) and from the CNC, through its support for new production technologies. The French distribution will be handled by Jour2Fête, while the international sales have been entrusted to Films Boutique.
