The CineLink Industry Days, the Sarajevo Film Festival’s industry section, which ran from 17-22 August, has handed out its awards. The CineLink Co-Production Market jury, comprising Sehad Čekić (Film Centre of Montenegro), Georges Goldenstern (Cinéfondation), Behrooz Hashemian (Silkroad Production), Čedomir Kolar (A.S.A.P. Films), Annamaria Lodato (ARTE France Cinéma) and Emma Scott (Screen Ireland), decided to present acclaimed Macedonian filmmaker Teona Strugar Mitevska with the €20,000 Eurimages Co-production Development Award for her project The Happiest Man in the World or Lessons in Love.
Written by Mitevska and Elma Tataragić, who previously collaborated on the Berlinale-awarded God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya [+see also:

The story follows Asja, who’s trying to find love in Sarajevo. She meets Zoran, who is not looking for love, but rather forgiveness from his first war victim back from when he was a soldier.
Also, the sophomore feature project Forever Hold Your Peace by Montenegrin writer-director Ivan Marinović (The Black Pin [+see also:

The story, which focuses on Dragana, who decides to duck out of her wedding just two days before the date, is being produced by Marinović for Montenegro’s Adriatic Western, in co-production with Marija Stojanović, of Belgrade-based Sense Production.
The Film Center Montenegro Award, worth €10,000, was bestowed upon the Greek project Third Kind by second-time writer-director Yorgos Zois (Interruption [+see also:

The Artekino International Prize, worth €6,000, went to another Greek project, Sofia Georgovassili’s debut feature, Mignon, which is a coming-of-age story about two girls in a renowned 1990s department store whose relationship escalates into some unexpected power play. The project is being produced by Vasilis Chrysanthopoulos, of PLAYS2PLACE, in co-production with Irina Andreea Malcea, of Romania’s Luna Film.
Finally, the EAVE+ Scholarship went to Hungarian producer Judit Stalter, of Laokoon Filmgroup, who was participating in CineLink with Cristina Groșan’s Things Worth Weeping For, which was in Works in Progress and also won the Post Republic Award.
In the CineLink Drama section for TV series in development, the Film Centre Serbia Award went to Sabre by Goran Stanković and Vladimir Tagić. The Serbian duo is best known for Morning Changes Everything, a series that was popular throughout the region and was produced by This & That Productions, the Belgrade-based company that is also behind Sabre (see the news).
