Christoffer Boe's award winning film, Reconstruction, starring Marie Bonnevie and Nikolaj Lie Kaas has been chosen by professionals from the Danish film industry to represent Denmark in the race for the Oscars.

Boe's debut feature film has been collecting major film awards since its first screening at the last Cannes Film Festival where it won the Camera d'or and the Youth Jury Award at International Critics' Week. In August, the film was presented with the Amanda Award for Nordic debut of the Year at Haugesund and won the FIPRESCI Grand prix for New Director on September 18, at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
Christoffer Boe teamed up with producer, Tine Grew, the director of photography, Manuel Alberto Claro, and the sound designer Morten Green, who made Reconstruction for their company, Hr.Boe & Co. The film is part of the Nordisk Film Director's Cut trend, a scheme that urges filmmakers to adhere to a short production period, a low budget (€1-1.2m) and a close-knit production team. Reconstruction is handled by Nordisk Film International Sales.
