Robert Quinn gets IFB support

Conamara Cowboys, the new film by Robert Quinn is among the most recent projects that have received support from the Irish Film Board (the IFB).

Co-Written by Robert Quinn with Shane Lovern, Conamara Cowboys is produced by Distinguished Features, which has already worked on Quinn’s previous film, the acclaimed Dead Bodies.
Quinn’s new film was awarded development funding from the IFB alongside eight other feature films, including Home, produced by Samson Films, written by Carmel Callan and directed by Kieron J Walsh; Magnificat, written by Ernest Kinoy and Johnny Ferguson for Ferndale Production; Wild Geese written by Rory Hanrahan for Paradox Pictures, and Kings written by Tom Collins for De Facto Film & TV.
In addition, two feature film projects were awarded production finance from the IFB: Omagh, co-written by Paul Greengrass (The Magdalene Sisters) and Guy Hibbert for Jim Sheridan and Arthur Lappin’s production outfit, Hell’s Kitchen, and Short Order written and directed by Anthony Byrne for Igloo Production.
Three documentary films received production financing: Peter Carr’s Send In The Clowns produced by Woodend Films; A Ban on Sex directed and produced by Louis Marcus, and Brendan Byrne’s Blind Vision produced by Hot Shot Films. Finally the animation project, Stories For Troubled Funding, produced by Kairos Communications was awarded development funding.
