The new edition of the webzine of Belgium Cinema, Cinergie published for October is packed with news particularly relevant to this time of year. There’s a menu that includes an interview with the director Joanna Grudzinska (La Roue Tourne) and one with Agnès de Ryckel (L’âge selon Elise), as well as an in depth look at the new Belgium (co)productions, together with the critiques (pro and against) of the film by Yann Samuell, Love Me If You Dare, and a presentation of the film by Stijn Coninx, Au-delà de la lune, which has been nominated to go forward to the race for the 2004 Oscars.

In addition, Cinergie also takes a look at the very personal world of Jan Bucquoy, the enfant terrible of Belgium cinema, who is preparing his new film, La société du spectacle et ses commentaires. There’s also a main article featuring a conservation with Benoît Mariage about his latest film L’Autre, which is set to be released in Belgium cinemas on October 22. Finally Cinergie went to see Nadine Monfils, on the set of her production regarde-moi, a documentary which is dedicated to unknown filmmakers.
