New Commissioners for the CNC

David Kessler, the director general of the National Film Centre – CNC, has nominated the new members for the Box Office Advances committee and the Selective Distribution Grants board. These two commissions will continue to be led by Jean-Claude Lamy and Raphaël Hadas-Lebel.

The Box Office Advances board, which supports the more difficult and ambitious films after they’ve been completed, has a budget for 2004 of around €21.2 million (a rise of 13.5% in two years), will be sitting for a third session, with a new mandate lasting until August 31, 2004. Those already on the board are the producer, Claudie Ossard who’s the vice president, and she is being joined by the actress, Françoise Arnoul, the director Malik Chibane, the producer Didier Creste (Extravaganza ), the musician CharlElie Couture, the director and screenwriter Michel Fessler, the distributors Gregory Gajos and Jacqueline Duthilleul (Pyramide), the director, Luc Leclerc du Sablon, the film producer Philippe Liegois, the audiovisual producer Jocelyne Paris and the journalist Charles Tesson.
David Kessler has also nominated 4 new members for the Selective Distribution Grants commission to join the current vice president, Georges Goldenstern from the Ciné Fondation. They are the distributor Laurence Petit (Haut et Court), the director Emilie Deleuze, the producer Thierry Wong (Cine Nomine) and the MD of the Gan Film Foundation, Gilles Duval. They will be working alongside the distributors Didier Lacourt (Diaphana Distribution), Thomas Ordonneau (Shellac), the operators Christine Beauchemin-Flot and Emmanuel Papillon, the musician Béatrice Thiriet, the journalist Eric Libiot, the producer Marianne Slot (Slot Machine) and the expert from the ADRC, Jean-Michel Gevaudan.
