The Swiss-Italian director has slammed the first clapperboard on the new Italian Netflix original series Guida astrologica per cuori infranti, which she herself created and which will be co-directed by the actress-director Michela Andreozzi (who previously stepped behind the camera to offer up Nine ½ Moons [+see also:

Promising to be a romantic comedy studded with surreal and tragicomic encounters, the series is produced by Italian International Film - Gruppo Lucisano and will be shot entirely in Turin, with funding from the Piemonte Film TV Fund and the support of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte.
Written by Bindu de Stoppani and Fabrizio Cestaro (one of the authors responsible for TV hits such as Elisa di Rivombrosa, I Cesaroni and Il paradiso delle signore) based upon Silvia Zucca’s successful book of the same name (published in English under the An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts: A Novel title, and whose translation rights have been sold to 15 different countries) the story revolves around Alice Bassi, who’s a little over thirty and single despite her best efforts. Alice works as a production assistant for a small TV network with very hope for career development, despite often being the most competent person in the room. As if that wasn’t enough, her ex-boyfriend Carlo is about to get married and become a father, and, to top it all off, a charming and mysterious new creative director called Davide has been hired to monitor the productivity of her team. But Alice’s life is about to change thanks to an encounter with Tio, an actor in the network’s breakthrough soap opera and a self-styled astrology guru who is destined to soon become her own personal Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts.
In the cast of the series, we find Claudia Gusmano playing the protagonist Alice Bassi, Lorenzo Adorni in the shoes of her friend Tio and Michele Rosiello playing the part of Davide, the charming creative director of the network Alice works for.
Guida astrologica per cuori infranti is set to make its debut soon, in all 190 countries where Netflix is active.
