Zooming in on Europe
Utopolis is taking part in Cinedays 2003 to promote European cinema in a country which is at the heart of many linguistic influences due to its geographical location. The programme will be featuring works from Germany and Britain.
From October 10 to 16, the Luxembourg Utopia cinema chain, will be showing two films as part of a week dedicated to remembering the Holocaust. Audiences can see premieres of the German films Babij Jar, das vergessene Verbrechen by Jeff Kanew and Oi! Warning by Dominik & Benjamin Reding. There’s also a spotlight on British films, with Utopia cinemas presenting a series of four films by Ken Loach : My Name is Joe, Paul Mick and the others, Sweet Sixteen and Ladybird, Ladybird.
