is a series spanning three seasons, memorable thanks to its unusual brand of humour, lack of political correctness, and the ridiculous and embarrassing situations that befall its main characters, played by Malena Alterio, Vito Sanz and Javier Gutiérrez. The first season premiered in 2017 and demonstrated that the talents of Juan Cavestany – whom we have to thank for capers such as People in Places [+see also:

) were amplified exponentially when they worked together. That’s why news of the shoot, currently ongoing in Madrid, for Sentimos las molestias (lit. “We’re Sorry for the Inconvenience”), a Movistar Plus+ series that sees them teaming up again, is particularly exciting and will surely throw up a whole heap of (potentially politically incorrect) surprises.

The series, starring Miguel Rellán (who is presently appearing in the series Maricón perdido, played an important role in Spanish Shame and is among the cast of Project Emperor – see the news) and tireless Cantabrian actor Antonio Resines (winner of the Goya Award in 1997 for Lucky Star and who appeared in If I Were Rich, acting under the orders of Fernández-Armero), is billed as a comedy about getting old while you’re still young, and is written by the pair of directors who are helming it.

It uses the comedy-drama genre to talk about what it means to grow old nowadays: Rafael Müller (played by Resines) is an acclaimed orchestra conductor who has been friends for decades with Rafael Jiménez (Rellán), a has-been rock star who refuses to hang up his guitar. They will both have to fight to continue to fit in in this world which is rapidly getting younger and which insists on taking them out of the game, despite the fact that they still feel as fit as a fiddle.

For its creators, Sentimos las molestias (the title of which is a play on words, as stated by Resines on a famous TV programme - it can also mean "We Feel the Pain") "deals with music, age, romantic relationships, illness and friendship. We are intending to make a comedy with all these elements while at the same time keeping a close eye on our characters in a realistic, modern-day setting."

Sentimos las molestias is a Movistar Plus+ original series, made up of six 30-minute episodes, produced in conjunction with Cuidado con el perro TV.
