- The training programme is gearing up to welcome eight projects to its upcoming hybrid edition, which will feature a series of lectures and a focus on sustainable film production
Taking place from 12-15 August in hybrid format, in Warsaw and online, the 12th edition of New Horizons Studio+ is a training programme for directors and producers developing their first or second feature film, organised by the New Horizons Association and Creative Europe Desk Poland.
During its four days of workshop and lectures, the participants will be informed on topics that are related to the promotion and development of projects. For this edition, 8 director-producer duets – four hailing from Poland while the rest are coming from Austria, Romania, Spain and Ukraine – will present their projects in a pitching contest held on the last day of Studio+.
Regarding the lectures that are organised, Isabel Ivars, head of Festivals for Films Boutique and acquisitions, marketing, festivals & distribution consultant, will focus on the post-pandemic market and where we are now, while script consultant and screenwriter David Pope will offer his tips on how to pitch a story. Furthermore, two EAVE graduates will offer their expertise in marketing: Michael Arnon of WOLF Consultants, will feature in his lecture the strategic approach to marketing, PR, and press, while Alya Belgaroui-Degalet, marketing project manager for international sales at Wild Bunch International, will focus on international sales and marketing.
On the final day of New Horizons Studio+, an open hybrid lecture will be organised by New Horizons Association in partnership with Creative Europe Desk Poland, on the topic “How to Green Film Industry” which aims to explore how to produce films in a sustainable way.
