CINEDAYS 2003 Lithuania

A unique ACM project

by

The program of Cinedays 2003 festival in Lithuania includes a unique event - a demonstration of video art projects on Actual City Media (ACM) (www.acm.lt) screens, installed on top of the National Opera and Ballet Theater and in front of the popular shopping center Acropolis in Vilnius. The show, continuing from midnight till 1 a.m. on October 10, 17, and 24, will display works of the members of Summer Video Studio workshops. The first such workshop for young European artists was organized in 1995 in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Later on, summer meetings of video art students took place in Latvia and Estonia. Since the year 2002, Summer Video Studio is organized as the European Community's SOCRATES/ERASMUS intensive program - an international workshop for film schools.
The show of workshop participants' art projects became possible with the help of ACM and the modern film studio Skynet Film Studio, the official Cinedays 2003 information release center. The films demonstrated on ACM screens are also available at www.filmstudio.skynet.lt
