PRODUCTIONS Switzerland

Absolut by Romed Wyder

by

The Swiss director Romed Wyder has just finished shooting on his second feature length film, Absolut, filmed in Geneva and the Valais canton between August 27 and September 27. Once again there’s an air of mystery in this political thriller starring Vincent Bonillo, Irene Godel, François Nadin and Delphine Lanza. The budget, which was deliberately kept low (a reduced crew, minimal support and just 5 weeks of filming), is €840,000. The film is produced by Blow-up Film Productions and Xavier Grin from P.S. Productions, in a co-production with the French-speaking Swiss TV broadcaster (TSR) and Almaz Film Productions. Public funding for the film has been provided by the OFC (Federal Office of Culture), the city of Geneva and the regional fund. Absolut will be distributed in Switzerland by Frenetic Films.
