Cinecittà SPA’s new Sales and Marketing Office takes shape, led by Lucia Milazzotto
- The department’s aim is to work alongside the firm’s wider recovery plan to strengthen the studios’ market position and enhance their brand visibility
Cinecittà Spa is to boast a new Sales and Marketing Office led by Lucia Milazzotto. It’s a decision which was made by CEO Nicola Maccanico, in line with Cinecittà Spa’s new business strategy, with a view to complementing the company’s recovery plan by strengthening the studios’ market position and enhancing the visibility of their brand on both a national and international level. Milazzotto had previously been at the helm of the MIA – International Audiovisual Market ever since its first edition back in 2015, until its seventh edition which has only just closed.
The new Sales and Marketing Office – as explained in a statement – will be responsible for creating a new business development and marketing strategy for selling advertising space and services for national and international productions (including post-production), and space and services for event organisation.
The Sales and Marketing director will be the go-to contact for Italian, European and international productions, and will help to develop the Studios’ new, global selling proposition, taking charge of its storytelling and its business development strategies, also by way of mid-to-long term partnerships.
“Cinecittà must ensure that its infrastructural growth is matched by equally rapid business growth”, Maccanico insisted. “This logic has given rise to the Sales and Marketing Office, which will be headed up by an authoritative and renowned manager in the form of Lucia Milazzotto, who played a lead role in the creation of the MIA and the latter’s great success. Lucia will further bolster the Cinecittà management team, and I’m proud to have her by my side for the challenges which await us in future years”.
Previously Global Commercial & Marketing Director for the Swiss distributor of audiovisual content World Content Pole Sa, Milazzotto was also the head of Rome Film Fest’s co-production market and of the Locarno Film Festival’s special programmes line-up, among other appointments.
