Wallimage supports the first Disney+ series co-produced in Belgium

At its 106th session, Wallimage, Wallonia’s regional investment fund, supports 7 new projects, with an emphasis on series and animation.

The fund is throwing its weight behind the third season of Ennemi Public, the successful Belgian series launched by the RTBF and Entre Chien et loup in 2016, as well as Mauvaise Pioche, the first Disney+ series co-produced in Belgium, adapted from the British series The Wrong Mans, co-written by Chloé Marçais and Fred Scotlande, who will also direct the series. In the cast will be the duo formed by Vincent Dedienne (recently seen in Welcome To The Jungle [+see also:

). Belga is co-producing in Belgium this series which is produced in France by Catl Studios and BBC Studios France.

Wallimage also supports two animated series, La vie en slip, a young adult series produced by Studio Redfrog, a French studio which just opened an office in Wallonia, and co-produced by Canal+, as well as the second season of Pompon Ours, produced by Supamonks and France Télévisions in France, and Umedia in Belgium.

The fund is also supporting Allah n’est pas obligé, an animated feature film by Zaven Najjar (read the news) adapted from the cult novel by Ahmadou Kourouma, published in the early noughties. The film is produced by Special Touch (France), and co-produced in Luxembourg by Paul Thiltges Distribution, and in Belgium by Need Productions

Finally, Wallimage also supports two fiction feature films. Versus Production in Belgium is behind the new film from Dominik Moll (Only the Animals [+see also:

 is adapted from the novel 18.3 – Une année à la by Pauline Guéna. The film (read the news) infiltrates the corridors of the criminal police and, more particularly, the thoughts of Yohan, squad leader in the Criminal Brigade, a policeman haunted by a case and who teams up with a strange colleague, called Marceau. In the cast of this film, which is currently filming, we find Bastien Bouillon and Bouli Lanners. The film is produced in France by Haut et Court.

The film tells the story of an elderly Italian man, who will be played by Michele Placido, torn away from his rural roots in Puglia to discover, in Brussels, that his son has died and that he has a granddaughter he will have to look after.
