The official selection of the fifth AJB DOC Film Festival will be announced at the beginning of September 2022. The festival will screen over 20 documentaries across three festival selections: competition selection, out-out-competition Last Minute Cinema selection and AJB Screening.

On the festival closing night, three awards will be presented: the Main Jury Award for the best film in the competition selection, the Programme Department Jury Award and the Audience Award. All selected films may be considered for an acquisition agreement with Al Jazeera Balkans and broadcast on its TV Channel.

AJB DOC Film Festival is organised by the TV broadcaster Al Jazeera Balkans in cooperation with Al Jazeera Media Network and Al Jazeera Media Institute in Doha. The festival aims to promote authors and documentaries which address various social phenomena, while taking an honest approach in dealing with profound topics and portraying real-life stories. The festival will focus on documentaries intended for TV broadcasting.
