When Gloria receives an urgent phone call and needs to return home to Cape Verde to looks after her own two children whom she hasn’t raised, Cléo makes her promise that they’ll see each other one last time. Ama Gloria is produced by Bénédicte Couvreur on behalf of Lilies Films (the long-time partner of Céline Sciamma). The film has notably been pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+and France 5 Monde, and enjoys support from the CNC in the form of an advance on receipts, as well as from the Ile-de-France region and the Sofica Cinécap and Arte Cofinova.
