Regarding the projects in development, Grandpa, Let’s Go!, the new family road movie by Olga Chajdas, was the recipient of the Fixafilm Postproduction Award, which is covering post production costs (worth up to 30.000 PLN). According to the director’s statement, the project is an “adventure, a journey, a treasure hunt, a modern Indiana Jones with ponytails. It is Indiana Jones for this generation, for young viewers, who like to listen to their grandparents’ stories, for grandparents who still want to inspire, and for parents who pretend they don’t care.” Grandpa, Let’s Go! is produced by Karolina Galuba and Małgorzata Małysa for FURIA Film and the film is set to be produced in 2024.

No Problemo Music decided to award two projects: Grandpa, Let’s Go! from the pitching session, and the coming-of-age family drama Film for Aliens, directed by Piotr Stasik, from the works in progress.

Norwegian Dream, a coming-of-age drama by Leiv Igor Devold currently in post-production, received the Screen International Award which includes coverage of the film’s life cycle. The film centres on Robert, a Polish immigrant working at a fish factory in Norway who realises that he has feelings for his colleague Ivar. The film is a Polish-Norwegian-German co-production produced by Spaett Film, Solo Film and Riva Film.

Just before the Polish Days, the thirteenth New Horizons Studio+ took place (21-24 July), in partnership with Creative Europe Desk Poland. After a series of workshops and lectures, emerging European directors and producers took part under the supervision of experts.

The New Horizons Association / London Film Academy Main Award was bestowed upon the Georgian project Milk & Honey by Tornike Gogrichiani, produced by Tekla Machavariani.
