film profile] takes pornography as a starting point to reflect on the relationship between sexuality and work, on being public and feeling alone, on the characters that we build to show ourselves (or hide) from the world.

This is the synopsis of the feature Pornomelancolía by Argentinian helmer Manuel Abramovich (who also wrote the screenplay together with Fernando Krapp and Pio Longo), which is taking part in the competition of the 70th San Sebastián Film Festival (16-24 September). It is an Argentinian-French-Brazilian-Mexican co-production staged by Gema Films, Dublin Films, Desvia Productions and Mart Films. Epicentre Films will distribute it in France and Filmin in Spain, while Luxbox will take care of its international sales.
