Written by the director, the script centres on Lydia, a young thirtysomething with a brilliant career as a midwife. But her love life is a disaster. Just as she tries to recover from a painful breakup, her best friend Salomé announces she is pregnant and asks her to be her midwife. When Lydia re-crosses paths with Milos, a lover from a one-night stand, she is holding Salomé’s baby in her arms, and declares the child to be theirs. Although initially disbelieving, Milos embraces fatherhood, and Lydia locks herself in her lie, even as she risks losing everything…

Produced by Alice Bloch for Marianne Productions and by Thierry de Clermont-Tonnerre for MACT Productions, Le Ravissement is co-produced by JPG Films. Pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also benefits from the support of the Ile-de-France and Normandie regions (where the film will be shot), of the Cineventure Sofica and the BNP Paribas Pictures Fund. The six weeks of filming will conclude on 25 November 2022 with Marine Atlan (Summer Scars [+see also:
