- The 11th International Independent Film Festival has named Argentine director Manuel Abramovich’s feature film its winner, while Hugo Thomas’ Juniors nabbed a Special Mention

Composed of Ava Cahen, Anaïs Demoustier, Clotilde Hesme, Aude Pépin, Sylvie Verheyde and Grégoire Colin, the feature film competition jury at the 11th Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival (which unspooled 12 - 17 October) awarded its 2022 Grand Prize to Pornomelancolia [+see also:

by Manuel Abramovich. Produced by Argentina, Brazil, France and Mexico, the movie was unveiled in competition in San Sebastián last month, where it scooped a trophy for Best Photography (courtesy of the Argentine director himself). Pornomelancolia is sold worldwide by Luxbox and will be distributed in France by Epicentre Films.

This teen movie about an adolescence sustained by online video games revolves around Jordan and Patrick who live in the countryside and kill time in front of Call Of Duty, until the day their Playstation gives up the ghost… Juniors is sold by WTFilms and is set to be distributed in France on 5 April via The Jokers Films/Les Bookmakers.
