at San Sebastián New Directors in 2017) in the Panorama section. Discovered at the Work In Progress of the Arcs Film Festival, the filmmaker's second feature follows Iman (played by the renowned Payman Maadi, well liked in Leïla et ses frères, La Loi de Téhéran or Une séparation) and his family who have been forced to flee Iran following a devastating rumour. As refugees, they end up in a run-down hotel in northern Sweden. Despite his feelings of helplessness, Iman tries to maintain his role as patriarch of the family. To increase their chances of getting asylum, he breaks a promise to his wife and joins the local wrestling club. When rumours begin to resurface, Iman's fear and despair begin to take hold... A production helmed by Swedish outfit Tangy with co-production by their compatriots Filmpool Nord, Film i Väst and Sveriges Television, and Norwegian company Ape & Bjørn.
