by Katell Quillévéré has triumphed at the 16th edition of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival (FFA), winning the Diamond Valois for Best Film as well as the award for Best Actor for Vincent Lacoste. In the film, which also stars Anaïs Demoustier, Katell Quillévéré revives the tradition of the melodrama with a story about love’s power to overcome shame and lies taking place across several decades after the war. The film is sold internationally by Charades and will be launched in French cinemas on 29 November by Gaumont.
