Singling out the young, independent production company of 2023, the 18th IFCIC Prize awarded by the IFCIC – Institute for Film and Cultural Industry Funding has been won by Apsara Films, an outfit directed by Marine Arrighi de Casanova.

The award sees Apsara Films joining the ranks of previous IFCIC Prize winners, including TS Productions (2004), Les Productions du Trésor (2005), Elia Films (2006), La Mouche du Coche (2007), Les Films du Poisson (2008), 2.4.7. Films (2009), The Film (2010), Origami Films (2011), Lionceau Films (2012), Dharamsala (2013), Lilies Films (2014), CG Cinéma (2015), Les Films du Bélier (2016), Maneki Films (2017), TAT Productions (2019), Petit Film (2021) and Tripode Productions (2022).

The IFCIC is an establishment which facilitates access to credit for cultural enterprises. With funding from public authorities (most notably the CNC), the IFCIC guarantees bank loans awarded to film or audiovisual producers, to technical industries and exhibitors, and to companies operating in the cultural sector.
