"Full Screen" Prizes

The jury of the 2003 edition of the Film and Television Festival, Full Screen Cinema, has awarded the prize for Best Film to the work by the Iranian director, Tahmineh Milani The Hidden Half. The Grand Prize for Best Director went to the Cuban filmmaker Joel Cano for Siete Dias, Siete Noches, a work that also won the Chaumet Prize for Best actress for the performance by Ludmila Alonso Yodu. The Pure Land by the Chinese director Pu Sheng won the Titra-Film prize, to encourage theatrical distribution. The Chaumet prize for the Best Actor was given to Juha Muje for the film by the director from Finland, Tapio Piirainen, Raid.
There were also prizes for two French TV films, Cadets de Gascogne by Emmanuel Bourdieu, which won the FIPRESCI prize, and Dissonances by Jérôme Cornuau, which was awarded the TV5 Prize for best Francophone Film. The SwissPerform prize for best Swiss TV film was given to Alles wird gut (It will all be fine) by Thomas Hess.
